“Let’s go to the beach!” said I, thinking that he would say No and if he said Yes, maybe he wouldn’t bring his camera.  Of course, I was wrong on both counts.  He took this photo, originally titled “Distant Sails”.  It turned out to be the last photo he felt was good enough to work on.  It was also the last one he printed and signed five days later, July 20, 2019, on the day he left this world. -Lori Calvo, Richard's wife
